While living in Medellin, Colombia, I became enamored of what I perceived as the Andean temperament, which seemed genteel, reserved, and relaxed. Of course, this is just one facet of the Colombian and Andean peoples. There's also a party-friendly, raucous, drug-fueled fun that can be heard in a particular style of music called "guaracha."
